Rik started his artistic journey working alongside several professional photographers and later went on to run his own photographic business and art studio in West Cornwall.

Qualified in engineering and having studied Environmental Science gaining a Bachelor of Science Degree.

2006 Rik returned to formal study at Exeter College completing a Foundation Degree in fine Art, this then progressed to study full time at Plymouth University based at studios in the Royal William Yard and through his study he gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art.
